The international success of Brace Your Heart and director Amanda Kernell continues as she receives the Silver Shell for Best Director at the San Sebastián International Film Festival. Swedish actress Asta Kamma August has also been awarded the Silver Shell for Best Leading Performance for Hans Petter Moland’s Growth of the Soil.
Alex Schulman’s Adult Supervision, starring Gustaf Skarsgård, Fares Fares and Linus Wahlgren, has been selected as Sweden’s official submission for the International Feature Film category at the 99th Academy Awards, the Swedish Film Institute’s Oscar Committee announced today at Filmhuset in Stockholm.
The Swedish Film Institute’s Oscar Committee has selected three finalists for Sweden’s official submission to the Academy Awards in the Best International Feature Film category: Adult Supervision by Alex Schulman, Brace Your Heart by Amanda Kernell and Bloody Men by Jens Sjögren.
